Case # 14-17645
Circumstance: Song Hy Sok, 20, disappeared on July 13, 2014 in Austin, Texas.
He was on a summer internship, and he, along with other co-workers, took a weekend trip to Lake Travis in Austin. According to media reports, and family, it was stated to police that Song and another co-worker jumped from their rented boat to cool off in the water, around 6:30 pm. Shortly after it was stated that Song became distressed and those on the boat, all swimmers, panicked and nobody could rescue him. His body has never been found. His family has paid for a professional dive team from Florida to search the 90-feet (in depth) lake. One officer reported to media that he did not believe the location given to officers, by the co-workers, as the accurate location he dove in, as no trace of Song exists under the water in that area. Mysteriously, Song’s Facebook page disappeared in September 2014. He is extremely close with his family and a brilliant young college student who is well-loved by many. His family is distraught and question why others are not helping nor meeting with them from those last with him? Police and family ask if anyone has information, or if you are in the Lake Travis waters, please report any odd findings right away. If any SAR Teams have specialized equipment and willing to donate their time to search for Travis, please contact LostNMissing Inc. so that we may arrange to have law enforcement approval for further searches.

Please take a moment to learn more about Song, in his words…his interview. A loving son, brother and friend to many. A brilliant young man from the University of Berkeley who is missing, and presumed drowned. Help us , help his family with needed answers. From the family and the team at LostNMissing Inc.
