Circumstance

Robert Mayer, 46, did not return home from work on Friday, June 14, 2013.  He has a wife with two children in the Commack School District.

According to his wife Ida, Robert Mayer, 46, never returned home from his job in the city Friday.

Wife spoke with him in the morning at nine, when he was at work, and he was fine.  His coworkers saw him at 12:30 p.m. His phone went dead around 2:45 p.m., his wife reported.

His phone would just go to voice mail.

His 2004 Pontiac (red color)  car was found at the Deer Park train station. Next to his family he loves his car and never would have left it at the train station.

Earlier that morning he had left his wallet behind in the garage and the family believe that was an oversight as he was running late.

Suffolk County Police Department detectives are investigating the situation. Police said that no criminality is believed to have taken place at this point, however, detectives are following all leads.
