Circumstance: Friends and family of Catalano launched their own search for clues in his disappearance. His family says they haven’t seen him since March 25, 2009. They searched a Cook County forest preserve near the Kennedy Expressway and River Road on the far northwest side near Catalano’s home. Searchers also put up flyers along Cumberland Avenue where it crosses the Kennedy. It is known that he was seen on video surveillance of his condo when he left the building at 9:30 am.
