Circumstance: Kara was last seen during the evening of October 9, 2012 leaving her residence located in the 6700 block of Mission Road in Colorado Springs. She left behind personal items consistent with someone who planned to return home a short time later. Kara consistently used her cell phone and social media to maintain regular contact with family and friends. Since October 9, there has been no contact with Kara. Kara spent much of October 9 with a brunette female the Sheriff’s Office has been unable to identify. This brunette female is not a suspect, but a person of interest we are hopeful to identify and speak with. Additionally, there is a second brunette female we believe associated with Kara. Although the nature and frequency of their association is unclear, a picture has been obtained of this second female and we are hoping someone will recognize her and provide that information to the Sheriff’s Office. Kara aspired to become a model. These aspirations, we believe, have caused Kara to fall prey to a subculture of modeling business fronts that may prey on young woman.
