Circumstance:  Sheila was last heard from on February 2, 2014 by a text message and was last seen on February 1, 2014 in Fortuna, California. She had been very consistent with communicating with her son which she hasn’t done now since her disappearance. She has also not communicated with her family during this time and they are very concerned for her safety as it is out-of-character for her not to communicate with them.

A few weeks after Sheila disappeared, the family learned that another young woman, Danielle Bertolini, went missing from the same area on Feb. 19, 2014. The fact that two young women, from the same area and who had mutual friends, both disappear… only two weeks apart, is very concerning to both of their families. It is not believed that either woman is with each other. If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may appear, please contact authorities. You may request to remain anonymous.

Some agencies may list Sheila’s missing date as January 11, 2014.
